What Ark Experience?
The Ark Experience was here two years ago and I posted about it at the time. It will be back for the week 10th to 15th July at St Paul’s Church, Penketh, Warrington, where it was a great success in July 2021. There will be a series of seven interactive displays with words, pictures, videos, objects and activities for adults and children. These will provide opportunities for fun and learning as you go around this free event.
There will be no real animals but last time, many people said the knitted ones of all sizes, which will be here again, had to be seen to be appreciated.
Joy Holmes, one of the project’s leaders, explained the significance of the rainbow, which will again be part of the experience. “The rainbow is a part of the story in the Bible. Its seven colours speak of the beauty of diversity.”
One change from last time is that everything will be available in Cantonese as well as English, as a result of the involvement of a number of people from Hong Kong now resident locally. (See below).
It will be open Monday to Friday from 1.30 to 5.30 pm and Saturday 15th from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm at St Paul’s Church, 221 Warrington Road, WA5 2RX.
